For sale my beautifully modified Rover Mini, born a Mayfair in 1992 and owned by myself for the last 20 years, loved, cherished and despite the potential never driven hard.
As the MOT’s show I barely cover any miles, less than 500 miles since 2007! This is mainly due to it being lovingly kept in a dry storage unit, it comes out for the odd drive and test, some years with bad weather or personal commitments it has not even needed to be MOT tested due to running it and turning it over on the private storage land being all that is required.
Those with a keen eye will notice this has exceptional level of modification work, completed by extremely reputable garages, and is an absolute joy to drive.
Sadly, after the last drive around the block when sitting idle in the process of putting it back in the storage garage it decided to develop an issue and suddenly dropped oil/ fuel on the floor, I turned the engine off and pushed it back into the lock up. It has not moved since.
It is very frustrating as I suspect this is only a seal of some sort, and the mechanics I spoke to agree that is most likely, however I don’t want to run the engine without oil and not knowing what is wrong, I do not have the time or money to get it trailered to a garage. Therefore, the winner must have a method of transport arranged, such as a trailer or recovery truck etc, happy to discuss further if needed.
