What generic OBD2 can tell you
Generic OBD2 offers supported emissions fault codes, readiness, freeze frame and standard engine data. Clearing codes removes useful evidence and resets readiness; it does not repair the underlying condition. Manufacturer-aware controller reports are a separate coverage question. A reader that connects successfully to the engine has not demonstrated access to brakes, airbags, doors or the complete drivetrain. VCDS: buy the complete supported setup

Misfires, EPC and power-loss evidence
