A McDonald’s in Derby was left baffled this week when local woman, Sandra Billington, stormed in demanding to speak to a manager—after spending 15 minutes shouting her order at a bin.
“I kept asking for a burger, but it wouldn’t answer me!” Billington fumed.
According to witnesses, she had pulled up next to a waste bin, wound down her window, and loudly ordered a McChicken Meal. She only realised her mistake when another car pulled into the actual drive-thru lane.
Furious, she marched inside and accused staff of poor service.
“They should make the speaker look less like a bin! How am I supposed to know?” she argued.
Shift manager Dan Patel confirmed the incident:
“She kept saying she’d been ignored, so I went outside to check. She pointed at the bin. I just said, ‘Ma’am, that’s a bin.’”
Not satisfied, Billington left a scathing 1-star review, warning others:
“If you want fast food without being humiliated, go elsewhere. Otherwise, enjoy being ignored, they need to install better signs.”
Meanwhile, McDonald’s has reportedly taken her complaint very seriously—and done absolutely nothing. 🚗🍟
